The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is the Church's means of preparing and welcoming those who seek church membership. Through prayer and study, an adult is led to a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Catholic community. This process is for un-baptized adults, baptized Christians from other denominations, and baptized adult Catholics who would like to prepare for the First Eucharist and/or Confirmation. Candidates participate in weekly sessions on Tuesday evenings, 7:00 PM beginning in early Fall and continue through Pentecost. In addition, candidates participate in scripture sharing sessions that are held on Sundays during the mas from early November through PALM sunday. All sessions are held in the Community Center. Non-baptized children or children who were baptized in another faith, seven years and older, seeking church membership should contact the Director of Religious Education for more information concerning initiation. The children should enroll in either St. Peter Claver School or the Parish Elementary Education program.

Contact the parish office at (504) 822-8059 for more information.
