June and July were busy months forJeadership trainings for our youth.
Felicia Boucree, Megan Boudoin, & Veronique Dorsey attended a retreat and meetings for Teen Cross.
Sharonlynn Griffin, Charles P'avre, Ariel Wells, and Kelly Allison attended a week long training in Baton Rouge for CLI. Ajani Gibson, Felicia Boucree, Veronique Dorsey, and Kelly Allison also attended the Black Catholic Congress in Buffalo New York. Veronique Dorsey was asked to present last minute for a session and she made us very proud. I Excellent Job!!
Ajani Gibson also traveled over seas for some leadership an spiritual training. I le had to brush up on his foreign language skills. This summer he was our world traveler.
Several of our kids worked summer jobs with the city. Others were at band camp getting ready for the school year. We would also like to welcome our incoming Freshman. We had a little reception for them at the end of June. We are looking forward to working with them and having them participate in the youth ministry. Again: Welcome!! We have also had several volunteer groups to join us as well. We fellowshipped with them and had a wonderful time. We will continue with our weekly meetings and in the-next couple of months we will finally have our Lock In. Stay tuned and watch bulletin for upcoming dates. God Bless.
